We made it!

We are in Hong Kong!

Flight from London to Hong Kong was uneventful, generally what you want from a flight though! Had high hopes from the BA experience but it was just the same as any other flight - got us from A to B on time and safely though so can't really ask for more..... Glad we paid extra though for the two seats on our own at the back - plenty of annoying people!

Our plane at Heathrow (T5 is ace!)
Landed safely at Hong Kong airport and joined the immigration queue, very efficient and passed through seamlessly (I have an employment visa, Stephen doesn't... long story, he will do soon - don't worry it's all above board!). Passports stamped and off we went to collect the baggage, which fortunately was all there waiting for us. Off we went to join the taxi queue (they're colour coded depending on where they're going, who knew) - they didn't quite all fit (only two big bags each and two hand bags each...) but this doesn't seem to be a problem in HK, you just drive off with the boot hanging open! Quick journey (drove past Disneyland, excited for our trip in a few weeks!!), saw some amazing scenery and arrived at our apartment.
Exciting pic of the bags outside while we checked in...
Dumped the bags, had a quick shower and off we went to explore. The pad is very nice (maybe you'll get a blog on that another day but I probably should have taken the pics before I start leaving mess everywhere) - bed, tv and wifi, what more do we need!?

Will leave you with a few pics from our walk - first impressions are that it is a very cool place!!
(Oh and that the supermarket two minutes walk away has the full 'essential waitrose' range and several different types of cider, all very cheap, I think we'll be ok! We may also have had a mcdonalds, whoops - only £2.20 for a large 6 mcnugget meal though, be rude not to :-p )
