Hong Kong Hike #2

Since we really enjoyed our new years day hike we thought we'd put our boots back on this weekend and try a different trail especially as the weather was perfect for it. This one was somewhat easier... only 5k or so and we got a bus up most of the climb - kinda cheating but still very enjoyable. There were amazing views and a really nice beach at the end of it.

The walk started in a bit of a forest so this was the first view of the sea as it opened out.
Wish I could sound all knowledgable and tell you what islands you're looking at here but afraid I can't!
Apparently a popular paragliding spot - fascinating to watch, they take off from the top and then climb so high so quickly.
Not such a big climb this time!
More paragliders and the golf course below Stephen was wishing he could be playing at (no chance, golf club memberships are super exclusive and $$$ over here!).
View down towards Big Wave Bay (could see lots of surfers in the sea so will go down there at some point I'm sure to spend a lazy afternoon watching them).
Dragons Back - the trail we were on
Hills!
Shek-O, our destination
To the forest or to the beach?
Beach it was!
Ah, not bad for a Saturday in January!
